Duke was transferred from a partner rescue in Texas.  He had a fractured ulna (received surgery and a FHO) and is heartworm positive.  His break is being addressed and his heartworm will be treated at a later time at SSR's expense. Duke is scheduled to get an x-ray of his ulna in 2 weeks to be sure of complete healing before his playful self can be unleashed.  He is a lovable boy that is seeking a full-time belly rubber. He will need some physical therapy to help regain full motion in his back leg/hip.  Duke is a sweet and gentle soul looking for a family to love him.
