Charlie was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He will travel to Virginia in February/March 2023. Charlie arrived to his foster 2/17/23. So far he is an extremely happy and playful dog. True to the Malinois breed he seems to have no fear and loves to explore (even on tables). He had a nice bath and was not a fan but other than trying to climb out of the tub and telling us how awful we were for bathing him, but he showed no aggression. He has shown no signs of food or toy aggression. He is being fostered in a home with other dogs (who he desperately wants to play with), and two cats (who he also wants to play with). He does not seem to be aggressive or want to hurt the cats at all but if they were to run I am sure he would chase them as he would think they were playing. He seems to have no basic obedience training but is very food motivated. He is going to need an owner that can dedicate the time to training sessions and knows how to handle his activeness. Another dog that loves to play in the home should also be included. Charlie comes when called when he feels like it so a yard with a fence is a must. He likes to explore and would probably explore for miles if he got away. Everyone is a friend to him and he will make an amazing addition to the right home.
