Lucy was brought into SSR as a puppy in 2020.  Due to no fault of her own, Lucy is being surrendered back to SSR. The family feels Lucy would be much happier living in a home that has yard and larger living space.  She lost that when her family moved. 

Lucy is a great dog and listens really well. She gets along well with cats and good with dogs (males are preferred).  She is good with toddlers but would be more comfortable with older, considerate kids. She likes her toys and sometimes doesn't like to share.  Lucy is crate trained; that’s her safe, happy place. Lucy is super smart, eager to please and playful.  She is very friendly.  Everyone that meets her loves her.  Shes a healthy girl and up to date on vaccinations.  Doggy daycare is okay.  Lucy would prefer to be home with her family.  Want to take her in the car? Lucy loves to ride and look out window. Lucy walks well on a leash and has had some professional training. 

Like all dogs, Lucy needs slow introductions to new people (some men).  She has a sensitive tummy and is currently on Taste of the Wild Fish Recipe.  It's best to stay away from wheat. Lucy isn't a fan of the rain and thunder is scary. She is more comfortable in her crate when a storm blows through. Lucy will let you know someone is at the door with a bark (like all shepherds).  If you would like to foster Lucy, please complete an application.  A forever home for Lucy would be even better!  Apply if you would like to welcome Lucy into your heart and home!
