SETTING UP AN ssr account at a new veterinary office

Adopters Checklist

stop! read below before you proceed! 

If you have not received direct approval from a member of the Board of Directors DO NOT PROCEED. Please contact member of the board immediately for approval.

 

IMPORTANT: If your foster dog is experiencing a medical emergency and the board cannot be reached, please rush them to the nearest Vet ER and authorize all life-saving measures. SSR will reimburse for these expenses.

STEP ONE

get approval

Reach out to Kaitlin Vazquez, Becky Broussard, or Cassie Dikeman, or send an email to dogs@shenandoahrescue.org for approval PRIOR to setting up an account with your preferred veterinary office.

To expedite the process, please request quotes for relevant services from your preferred veterinary office and provide them to Kaitlin Vazquez, Becky Broussard, Cassie Dikeman, or dogs@shenandoahrescue.org.

STEP TWO

Get the info handy

Once you've received approval to establish an SSR account with your preferred veterinary office, you'll need to provide them with the following information:

STEP THREE

make your appointment

When booking your foster dog's appointment, be sure to provide their SSR name and SSR # to the veterinary office.

Example: Nonie 2802

 

Important: Make sure your foster dog is ALWAYS scheduled under Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue account! Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES may they be scheduled under your personal account. Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue will not reimburse expenses made under your personal veterinary account.
